We grow your traditional cantaloupe/muskmelon and then a delicious Middle Eastern melon called San Juan.  Cantaloupes are tricky to harvest fully ripe - we try our best!

   Storage Info:

  • If your cantaloupe melons seems a bit short of ripe, keep it at room temperature for a few days or until there is a sweet smell coming from the stem. Once the melon ripens, store it in the fridge.
  • Cut melon should be covered in plastic wrap, chunks or slices should be kept in an airtight container, and both should be refrigerated. Eat all melons within a week.

Melon Soup (from Farm Fresh Recipes)

1 large cantaloupe
1/4 c. orange juice
1/4 c. honey, or to taste
1/4 c. cream

Remove cantaloupe pulp, being careful not to use any green flesh near the rind. Puree in food processor. Add orange juice, honey, and cream. (If the melon is very ripe and full-flavored, the honey can be omitted. Taste before adding). Pulse until blended. Serve chilled in glass bowls and sprinkle with cinnamon very lightly on top.

Cantaloupe Ice Cream (from Farm Fresh Recipes)

1 large cantaloupe
2 T fresh lemon juice
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. honey
3 c. half & half
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cut pulp from cantaloupe and into chunks. Puree with lemon juice until almost smooth. In a large bowl, combine sugar, honey and half & half. Add puree and vanilla.  Stir until sugar dissolves. Pour into ice cream freezer canister and freeze according to manufacturer's directions.
